Left Field's 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is a lovely light, fresh style.
Fruit for the 2018 vintage was sourced from vineyards in the Nelson Bay region and the wine spent a short period ageing on lees to add texture.
Left Field is part of the Te Awa Collection, created by the experienced winemaking team of Richard Painter and Ant Mackenzie in the prestigious Hawke’s Bay. Here, the winemakers literally went to the left side of the vineyard in their search for inspiration, crafting approachable, consumer-oriented, premium regional vineyards. Sophisticated wines, without being stand-offish.
Passionfruit, nectarine and lemongrass . Gentle scents of green herb and flamboyant tropical fruit arrive on the scene while a light footed streak of crisp vibrancy departs side stage.
