Clos Henri 2016 is a refined, elegant Pinot Noir grown on certified organic sites located in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough.
The Wairau Valley is one of the finest Pinot Noir growing areas in New Zealand, if not the world, and the Clos Henri is renowned for its lacy tannins and delicate fruit, balanced by more masculine characters and dense structure. Clos Henri is the elegant and complete expression of the best of these two clay soils. Its great aging potential is the ultimate revelation of the terroirs' potential.
The property is owned by the Bourgeois wine family (of Sancerre fame), who are committed to maintaining the bio-diversity of the farm
"Rich, medium-bodied pinot noir, with typical regional red fruit (plum, cherry, raspberry) characters together with floral, liquorice and spice flavours. A perfectly-pitched pinot with a reasonably soft and deliciously accessible texture. Lovely wine." Bob Campbell MW
