Ata Rangi 2017 is this great estate's top Pinot Noir - complex and structured; beautifully perfumed in the classic Ata Rangi style.
The 2017 vintage was sourced from fruit from carefully selected estate vines in Martinborough, ranging in age from 10-30 years old.
The wine was aged for 11 months in (35% new) French oak.
"This is profound. The compelling bouquet shows ripe cherries and plums with gorgeous nuances of warm spice, toasted almonds, earthy mushrooms and olives. The palate displays awesome concentration and depth, wonderfully enhanced by velvety mouthfeel and layers of fine texture. Tannins are polished and seamlessly woven into this spellbinding wine." Sam Kim

Exotic spice, dark cherry and Rosé petal are offset by a more savoury array of aromas and flavours on the finish. Very complete and graceful, succulent and generous on the palate yet supple, sinewy, long and fine.
