Urlar is a 100% organic Pinot Noir from Urlar's Gladstone vineyard in the Wairarapa region, utilising both organic and biodynamic principles. Fruit was harvested according to flavour and skin ripeness. Each clone was fermented separately in a mixture of traditional oak cuves, and stainless steel vats after a period, of cold soak to enhance colour extraction. The winemaking style encourages fruit complexity, texture and balance; once these elements are in unison the wine is pressed off and matured in 40% new, French oak barriques for 10 months. Unfined and unfiltered.

"Delicately-scented pinot noir with Rosé petal, spice and dark cherry flavours. A pretty and appealing wine that's been made with a light touch. Accessible and distinctive."Bob Campbell MW
