Seresin Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2018
Full of concentration and poise with a broad mouthfeel, backed with firm acidity and salty minerality. The nose is savoury and complex with finely-balanced oak and just a hint of warm orchard fruit. Firm acidity and structure will allow the wine to age gracefully. Back to Seresin Estate Wine

Seresin Estate Reserve is a 100% organic Chardonnay from Seresin's Raupo Creek vineyard in the Omaka Valley area of Marlborough. Fruit was hand-sorted and whole bunch pressed straight to barrel. Each parcel was naturally fermented in 26% new French oak, and went through naturally occurring malolactic fermentation. After 11 months in oak, the wine was blended and transferred to puncheons for a further 5 months. Unfined and only lightly filtered.
"Toasty and rich but still fresh, Seresin's 2016 Chardonnay Reserve is a terrific effort. Pain grillé joins ripe peach and lemon curd on the nose, while the palate is full-bodied without being overly weighty, balancing size and refreshment in an ideal manner. Capping things off is a long, lingering finish that delivers nuances of cinnamon, clove, stone fruit and citrus. The 15% new oak is noticeable but in balance with the concentrated fruit. Drink this over the next few years."robertparker.com
