Schubert's Marion's Vineyard Pinot Noir is a silky, elegant, fleshy Pinot Noir.

Grapes come from Schubert's Marion's Vineyard in the Wairarapa region and were hand-picked to ensure quality, before the wine was aged in a combination of new and used French oak barriques for 18 months to add texture and complexity.

Schubert Wines is a boutique organic Martinborough winery established in 1998 by Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling who both studied Viticulture and Oenology at Geisenheim University in Germany.

Kai and Marion base their success on producing low yielding, cool-climate wines based on a wealth of both Old World and New World experience in wine regions across France, Germany, Oregon, California, South America and Australia.

"Taut, elegant and quite youthful pinot noir with floral, cherry, spice, anise and nutty oak flavours. A fine-grained wine with moderately intense flavours and a chalky texture. Good cellaring potential." Bob Campbell MW

Seductive aromas of wild blackberries and cherries with hints of red Rosés, and underlying earthy spice and toasty notes. A welcoming entrance of voluptuous wild berries and fleshy plums, underlying forest floor, integrated spices, open fires with hints of toasted hot cross buns coming together with a savoury mineral core leading to a long lingering finish.
