Palliser Estate's Riesling is refined, rich and concentrated with great depth of honeyed fruit balanced by fine acidity.
Fruit is grown in two vineyards, the Om Santi and Palliser Vineyard in the Martinborough region, and the wine was aged 6 months on lees to add complexity.
Palliser Estate was established in 1989 and was one of the pioneers of this now great wine region. The estate is named after Cape Palliser, the southernmost point of New Zealands North Island. Palliser is committed to the environment and was in fact one of the first three wineries in the world to be certified to the International Environmental Standard ISO 14001 (a framework for effective environmental management).
"Gold/amber, the 2016 vintage (5*) has a richly honeyed, enticing fragrance. Showing strong personality, it is highly concentrated, with rich, vibrant peach, apricot and honey flavours, a powerful botrytis influence, good acid spine and lots of drink-young appeal." Michael Cooper
18.5-/20 POINTS (5 STARS) - Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, Nov 2017
"This is a taut, crisp and lively dryish Riesling with lime. Honey, musk and floral flavours and mouthwatering mineral notes on a fine-textured line."

5 Stars - Michael Cooper
White florals, limes and mouthwatering flinty/mineral and honeysuckle notes on the nose. Medium-dry in the mouth with up-front and finely proportioned limes and lemonade with yellow florals, honeysuckle and minerals. A refined, concentrated and lingering dry finish.
