Matured in French oak barrique for 8 months, with 7% new oak, the Unravelled is a light-bodied and finely structured Pinot Noir. The wine has lovely balance, red plum, rhubarb and raspberry coulis notes, with hints of liquorice and clove. This wine can be enjoyed as an everyday drinking wine. Carrick was founded by Barbara and Steve Green in 1994, who planted vines on a rabbit-infested site in Bannockburn, the world’s most southerly winegrowing region, once a centre for gold mining in pioneering times. In fact, the name 'Carrick' is derived from the gold-mining town and the mountain range to which the estate points.

"An organically certified red that was barrel-aged for 11 months. Full-bodied (13.8% alc/vol), it is fresh and supple, with cherry, plum and spice flavours, woven with lively acidity, considerable complexity and the structure to age well." Michael Cooper

4 Stars - Michael Cooper

Light-bodied, elegant, finely structured Pinot Noir style, with dark fruits and spice on the nose, which flows into the mouth. Dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit on the palate, with the distinctive tannin structure that comes from the Cairnmuir Terraces of Bannockburn.
