Babich's Black Label Sauvignon is a wonderfully concentrated style with old world style gooseberry fruit combining with New World passion fruit. A gold medal winner at the International Wine & Spirits competition.
Fruit for the vintage was sourced from prime vineyards in the Marlborough region, and a small amount of the blend was fermented in old oak barriques to add weight and complexity.
Crafted with food in mind, the Black Label series yield from estate-owned vineyards in both Marlborough and Hawkes Bay and made in a rich, textural style.
"The medium-bodied Black Label Sauvignon Blanc seems riper than the previous vintage's wine, boasting leafy aromas but also passion fruit, gooseberry and stone fruit. It's smooth and silky in the mouth, showing ample concentration and length on the palate." robertparker.com

Lifted and perfumed aromas with smoke and citrus blossom overlaying notes of blackcurrant and gooseberry. A lush sweet fruited entry full of exotic green fruits leads into a big hit of passionfruit with blackcurrant and gooseberry following on from the nose. Juicy and balanced.
