Akarua Sparkling Rosé Brut NV is a Gold Medal Winner at the Decanter Awards. It is a sumptuous blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Akarua's 50 hectare estate on Cairnmuir Road, Bannockburn, in Central Otago.
This premium fine wine region is mountainous, rising to over 2000 metres, and the vines are planted in spectacular alpine scenery. Here, the philosophy is to reflect the special characters of both the Bannockburn terroir, and capture the unique qualities of each Pinot vintage so that they are truly reflected in each bottle.
Fruit for the Sparkling Rosé Brut from several blocks were hand harvested and vinified separately to preserve their character. Fruit was whole bunch pressed with batches kept separate. It was then aged in bottle for 18 months on yeast before riddling and disgorging.

Lovely vibrant pink hue. Hints of strawberry aromas balanced by complex nutty and yeasty notes. Complex Pinot Noir flavours in the mouth, with a lovely creamy mid-palate and a long savoury, dry finish.
