Wild Earth's Riesling is a tangy, off-dry style with lime, honeysuckle and a hint of flint.
Grapes for this Riesling were drawn from the estate's award-winning vineyard in Bendigo, Central Otago. Fruit was hand-harvested to ensure quality, and at optimal ripeness, and the wine was fermented at cool, temperatures to retain the fresh aromatics.
Wild Earth founder Quintin Quider is a native Californian who fell in love with both wine and New Zealand after spending a good few years in the countrys South Island. He founded the estate in 1998 in one of Central Otago's finest vineyard sites - at the end of Felton Road in Bannockburn. Wild Earth is run by a small, dedicated team, including winemaker Jen Parr and viticulturist Gary Crabbe, and specialise in Pinot Noir and Riesling.
"Bendigo-sourced riesling in a tangy, off-dry style with lime juice, wet stone, and wild flower flavours. The wine has a backbone of assertive and slightly green apple acidity that helps drive a drying finish." Bob Campbell MW
4.5 STARS - Bob Campbell MW
Displays a fragrant and lush bouquet of lime, honeysuckle and, a subtle touch of flint with flavours of delicious citrus zest. It has, a rich front palate that crescendos to a long and mineral finish with, brilliant acidity that will ensure the wine's longevity.
