100% Riesling from the Target Gully and Long Gully vineyards in Central Otago. Historically made from only one vineyard, but its medium style is best achieved by blending from both.
Hand harvested fruit was carefully processed through the winery. The juice was cold settled for 14 days prior to racking for fermentation to further enhance palate weight. Fermented cool in stainless steel to retain maximum varietal expression; fermentation stopped by chilling to balance the natural acidity with residual sugar.
Winemaker's Comments
Aromas of citrus blossom and white florals mingle with succulent peach notes. Lovely linear citrus and peach characters introduce this wine to the palate with poise and balance. A moderate amount of residual sugar has been retained to balance the clean acidity. Nicely rounded, with the phenolics connecting everything together; and will richly reward careful cellaring.
