Mt Difficulty is a 100% Pinot Gris blended from Mt Difficulty's Bannockburn vineyards, Central Otago. Fruit was hand-harvested and processed in a reductive manner, with the juice settled overnight and racked clean the following morning. Fermented cool to help maximise varietal character. All the components were left on gross yeast lees for 5 months post fermentation, with weekly stirring to help enhance complexity and textural aspects. 93 points, James Suckling Report 2021
What a nose! Ripe notes of stone fruit blossom, peach, tangerine and pear, which flow seamlessly into a succulent, creamy, textured palate, with hints of spice. Finishes long.
