Ata Rangi Lismore is an off-dry Pinot Gris from Ata Rangi's Lismore Vineyard at the edge of the Martinborough Terrace. With just a few grams of residual sugar, this is a delicious stand-alone aperitif wine or a good match with spicy/bold dishes.
The Pinot Gris vines have driven metres deep into the gravels, delivering fruit with great texture and flavour. Grapes were hand picked to ensure quality and the wine left on its lees for several months to build complexity.
"Fragrant and complex bouquet filled with aromas of flowers and ripe fruit with a currant of minerality. Dried pear and apple, a hint of tropical fruit, white spice and light savoury lees layer adding complexity. Supple and silky texture on the palate with a warmth and spiced white flesh fruits; balanced, weighty, decent acidity and finishing dry. An excellent example."

Up-front aromas evoke fresh cut pear, custard, pecans and lychees. A creamy entry in the mouth, with good concentration and texture, and a long, dry finish imbued with flavours of fresh walnut and a hint of smoke.
